In general Headley Heath Approach is in good repair.
As part of the works in late 2021 and 2022 several maintenance items have been resolved. No works had taken place the previous year due to COVID.
Principally the works recently undertaken are:
Repair of the cross road gully near the top of the road.
Several local repairs to areas where the road surface had degraded.
Re-marking of all the "humps' plus remarking of the 10mph speed limit markings.
The advice is that resurfacing will be required in the next 5-10 years with minor ongoing repairs needed. Typically, ongoing repairs and the standing charges cost Headley Heath Approach circa £5000 annually. The likely cost at 2021 prices for resurfacing the road is in the order of £30,000. With good levels of subscription contribution in the road, and the current reserves, it is likely that the Association will be on course to achieve funding for this, although given inflationary forces there may be limited funds remaining after that.
